On February 22nd, 2016, the U.S.-Russia Chamber of Commerce organized its 3rd Senior Executive Speaker Series featuring Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee, Gazprom. Mr. Medvedev received a warm welcome from Kelly Dowe, Chief Business Officer, the City of Houston, who presented Mr. Medvedev an Honorary Citizen Award on behalf of the City of Houston. After Mr. Dowe’s speech Mikhail Antonov, President, Gazprom Marketing & Trading USA, provided introductory remarks and welcomed the audience on behalf of the company.
Mr. Medvedev’s provided an informative and engaging presentation about GAZPROM’s business, current activities, including in the Russian and international market, and provided guests with updates on the company’s profile including services, business structure and key customers.
The event was “by invitation only” and gathered executives of the most influential, top global energy companies and leading members of the financial, industrial, and technology communities. Attendees included Vice Presidents, Chairpersons and C-level executives from ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, Baker Hughes, GE, Emerson, Halliburton, Parker Drilling, KPMG, OMK Tube, Macquarie Energy, Mitsui, Saipem, Tudor, Radix Engineering, Pickering, Holt & Co., Gazprom Marketing and Trading, representatives of the City of Houston and others.
During the Q&A attendees had a chance to share their personal perspective on the future of gas around the world from the point of view of both consumers and producers. The discussion covered global gas prices, and international gas trading hubs.
Business roundtable concluded with the networking session where attendees exchanged opinions and made new business connections.
