On July 25, 2020, the USRCC and its Technology & Innovation Committee hosted the Webinar “Digital Technology Advancements in the Aerospace Industry”. This annual event was held using the on-line platform. The following speakers provided an overview of the global situation in the aerospace industry, technology development, digital technology advancement, and covered other important questions that industry leaders are currently facing: Nathan Holyoak, Senior Principle Engineer of Northrop Grumman; Dr. Michel Izygon, CTO of Tietronix; Rick Murphy, Senior Vice President of Saratech; Fedor Antonov, CEO of Anisoprint. Topics covered during the Webinar included “Latest news in Aerospace Industry”, “AR/VR Advances in Aerospace Application”, “AI Applications in Aerospace”, “Extracting Value from Product Lifecycle Management (Digital) Deployment” and “Advances in 3D Printing”.
Over 50 attendees representing aerospace, education, finance and oil & gas industries were engaged in a lively Q&A session moderated by Kenneth Scherwinski, Technology & Innovation Committee Chair.
Mr. Kenneth Scherwinski is currently the president of CTRL2GO, Inc which is the U.S. office of a global technology company that creates digital solutions to improve management efficiency. Ken holds a BSEE and an MBA from the university of California, Irvine and started his career as an engineering draftsman in industrial and aerospace applications.
Nathan Holyoak is a Systems Engineer currently working for Northrop Grumman Corporation in the solid rocket motor division. Nathan holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering as well as an MBA. He has over a decade experience in process and product lifecycle management. He and his team began leveraging CAD solid models to improve design efficiencies and reduce product defects.
As the CTO of Tietronix Software, Dr. Michel Izygon is in charge of defining the technologies to be used in the support of the business strategy. Currently Tietronix Software Inc. is focused on delivering advanced software technologies services to NASA/Johnson Space Center as well as to commercial customers in the Medical device space, and Oil and Gas industry.
Rick Murphy’s proven leadership, market expertise, and results orientation come from over 34 years of engineering and software industry experience in the manufacturing (Aerospace, Automotive, etc.), chemical, Clinical Healthcare, and Life Science markets.
